The annual Adopt a Family program was a big success. 200 Food baskets from Trinity Lutheran arrived to start the process of receiving gifts from individuals, businesses and congregations to go out to 100 families. Boll Furniture provided their workers and truck to deliver gifts to the rural area.

Coversations Over Lunch 11/18/03
At Conversations Over Lunch, Janet Fout led a challenging discussion on Clean Elections. Imagine what can happen if candidates have no ties to special interest dollars. It has happened in Maine and Arizona.

Dan Kurland presented "Expressions in Stone" along with watercolors by Lisa Walden at Covenant House's Creative Gallery.
November 4
Volunteers are at the heart of the Covenant House programs. A luncheon celebrating their dedication to Covenant House's mission took place on Tuesday, November 4th.
Coversations Over Lunch 10/28/03
A lively conversation on Free Trade Area of the Americas: What will it mean. Carol Warren, Justice and Peace Office of the Catholic Diocese led the discussion.
October 22nd and 23rd
Staff met with supporting Congregational
ministers and their office staff. The orginal mission of Covenant House
"to provide an outreach center for the Charleston congregations" was at
the center of our conversations. The Drop-In-Center's programs and
outreach services were explained. Discussion occurred as to how to
increase involvement of the congregations.
