12/16/04 Many volunteers and contributors added to another year of success for our annual Adopt A Family. Trinity Lutheran provided 176 boxes of food and individuals, businesses and congregations brought gifts for over 278 people. Boll Furniture workers transported the gifts to families in the rural community.

12/3/04 "Heaven/Earth," which runs through Dec. 20, features photography, paintings and mixed-media works. Mark Wolfe and Amy Williams are donating a portion of the proceeds from sales back to Covenant House.

10/15/04 Delegate Dan Foster visits Covenant House to present a $20,000 check from the Governor’s Partnership Grant Program, earmarked for the loan on our land purchase at 600 Shrewsbury St.

10/14/05 Dare to be Aware in New Market Square , an evening of fine wine, foods and friends. This benefit for Covenant House and Roark-Sullivan Life Center was in partnership with the Capitol Market and the Clay Center.

10/3/04 Lewisburg United Methodist Church invited the co-directors to speak about Covenant House beginnings. The Lewisburg area congregations and community organizations are interested in starting a similar ministry.

4/27/04 An inspirational and moving conversation on the 30th Anniversary of the Kanawha County Textbook struggle took place on 4/27. Charlie Loeb, a 17 year old student at the time and Jim Lewis, an Episcopal pastor talked of their involvement in this landmark WV political event.

3/29/04 Jude Binder presented her amazing work "Field Among the Flowers". Community supporters came together to financially support the last phase of this powerful video on Domestic Violence.

3/26/04 Covenant House was chosen as the WV site visit for 30 Fellows from the California Agricultural Leadership Program. A national seminar brings fellows to organizations where they can learn and explore new ideas on leadership development, communications and sociological issues.
