10/19/05 The Midwest Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators met for their conference in Charleston, WV and chose Covenant House as the local Charity to support. This resulted in contributions of $5000, matched dollar for dollar by the Sallie Mae Foundation.

9/18/05 A joint fundraiser for Covenant House and Manna Meal was held at Temple Israel to honor Helaine Rotgin on her 90th Birthday. These are two of many social justice non-profits whose development and on-going mission have been nurtured by Helaine's vital role.
