Covenant House Vision and History

Without A Vision the People Will Perish. We believe that through our different faith traditions, God is seen on the side of the poor. We believe that we are to use our prophetic imaginations to create a new earth.

We believe that we must work together across all barriers and boundaries in order to solve the social problems of our community. These issues are interconnected with the social issues of our state, national and global community.

We believe that all people have rights to housing, food, clothing, education, health care and employment. These rights ought to be guaranteed to all human beings irrespective of race, class, sex, religion, creed, sexual identity, age, handicap or national origin. We believe that we must act justly on behalf of all people.

Covenant House's vision is the primary focus for the staff and board in Responding to Challenges.
